Harlaxton RSL Brass Band is a vibrant community brass band based in Toowoomba, Queensland's beautiful Garden City. Nestled on the edge of the Darling Downs, our band brings together musicians from across the region who share a passion for making music, serving the community, and preserving the rich traditions of brass banding.

Established in 1991 at the invitation of the Harlaxton RSL Sub Branch, the band has grown from its foundations with former members of the 25th Battalion, Royal Queensland Regiment Band into a welcoming ensemble of musicians spanning multiple generations. Today, our members range from teenagers beginning their musical journey to experienced players who have enjoyed a lifetime of music-making.

Under the musical direction of Ben Lancaster, the band continues to perform a diverse repertoire that honours our military heritage while embracing contemporary and popular music enjoyed by audiences of all ages.

As our name suggests, we proudly support the Returned & Services League of Australia and various Australian Defence Force associations throughout the year, performing at commemorative services and community events that honour the service and sacrifice of Australian veterans.

In addition to our ceremonial commitments, we present concerts and community performances across the Darling Downs, providing engaging musical experiences for audiences while creating meaningful opportunities for musicians to perform and grow.

We rehearse in our dedicated band room at Northies Toowoomba in Harlaxton, and are always keen to welcome new players. Whether you're an experienced brass or percussion musician, returning to music after a break, or new to the region, we'd love to hear from you.

If you're visiting Toowoomba, looking for a band to join, or simply interested in learning more about what we do, we invite you to come along to a rehearsal and experience the Harlaxton RSL Brass Band community for yourself.
